TruVisit National, one of the country's fastest-growing providers of professional supervised visitation services, today announced a commitment to invest $2 million over the next three years to expand access to court-ordered supervised visitation across the United States.
Supervised visitation is court-ordered parenting time that takes place in the presence of a neutral third-party supervisor, typically ordered during custody proceedings. Families are usually referred by a family court judge, attorney, or guardian ad litem, and costs are most often paid by the supervised parent per the court's order. The initiative — developed with TruVisit's standards affiliate, the Supervised Visitation Institute (SVI) — will fund expansion into underserved rural communities, where families often drive hours for a single supervised visit, as well as major metropolitan areas where demand has overwhelmed existing providers and families routinely wait two to three months for a first visit.
"Families in the middle of a custody case don't have three months to wait — a child's relationship with a parent can't be put on hold," said Jennifer Reina of TruVisit National. "This commitment means more credentialed supervisors, more markets, and same-week scheduling in places where the current answer is a waiting list."
The investment will fund:
TruVisit and its affiliated local providers currently serve families in markets including Phoenix, Atlanta, Dallas, Nashville, Las Vegas, Tucson, Miami, Tampa, Virginia, South Carolina, and Mississippi, with the expansion initiative targeting additional metros including Los Angeles, San Diego, Sacramento, Philadelphia, Chicago, and Houston, alongside rural and underserved counties nationwide.
